The state government has also been working on improving the industrial ecosystem in Bankura with the development of industrial parks and clusters, to attract both local and national investors and boost employment opportunities in the region. Some of the key industrial parks and clusters are:

  • Plasto Steel Park, Barjora: Spread over 432.29 acres of land, the fully integrated industrial park, promoted by WBIDC, has been set up for steel and plastic industries.
  • Bishnupur Industrial Park: Spanning over 173 acres of land, the Bishnupur Industrial Park is a major hub for metal oriented (especially Ferrous Alloy), Steel and related products, Cement and Poultry feed industries.

Additional Industrial Parks at Gangajalghati Development Block (42 acres) and at Raipur Development Block (10 acres) are under development  .
